Robert J. "Bob" Schneider, 79, of Topeka, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022.

He was born May 13, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Gilbert Joseph and Pearl Irene (Matuszeaski) Schneider.

Bob graduated from the Spalding Institute in Peoria, Illinois. He furthered his education while being enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War.

Bob worked as a Broadcasting Engineer. He had a love for antique radios as well as the Hamm Radio. He was well respected in his career field. Anytime someone had a problem with their television or radio they knew that they could call on him to assist and get them up and running again.

Bob was a gifted teacher in Helps Ministries. He was the Director of House of Hope at Antioch Church in Overland Park, Kansas. He was also the very first President for Highland Acres NIA and the very first Game Day Coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Bob married Beverlee R. Bayles on December 1, 2001in Overland Park, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Beverlee Schneider of the home; his sons, Robert Schneider, Jr. and Paul (Justine) Schneider both of Illinois; his step-daughter, Tammy (Joseph) Mitchell of Texas; his step-sons, David (Emily) LaForce of Texas, James (Kimberly) Seipel of Pennsylvania, Robert (Christi) Kingsley of Kansas and Jonathan (Shelby) Kingsley of Topeka; his 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Bernice "Butch" and Rose Marie.

Honoring Bob's request, cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dove Cremations and Funerals Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Avenue is assisting the family.
