Robert W. Schaffer

Robert W. Schaffer, 63, of Tecumseh, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2007 at his residence. He was born on October 13, 1943 in Wichita, the son of Phillip D. and Bertha Herl Schaffer. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Robert married Edwina "Nina" Tillery on September 13, 1997 in Oklahoma City, OK. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Phillip Darrell Schaffer of Topeka, Damien Shawn Schaffer of Tecumseh, two daughters, Subrina Louise Marie Meredith of Topeka, Mesha Renea Schaffer of Tecumseh, two step-children, Brian Corley and Monica Altic, twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four brothers, Gene Schaffer, Jimmy Schaffer, Billy Schaffer and Archie Schaffer. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Robert will lie in state from 3:00-8:00 p.m. today at his residence.
