Roberta Junefoster Shirrell

Roberta June Foster Shirrell, 85 of Topeka, Kansas passed away October 19, 2015. She was born on June 13, 1930 at Fairplay, Missouri to Albert and Blanche Reed Foster.
Formerly of Springfield, Missouri, Roberta has resided in Topeka since 1958. She was a loving mother of three children. She married Herbert Shirrell. They divorced. Roberta was employed by The Volume Shoe Corp. and Econo Clad Books of which she retired. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church for many years and was the pianist for Meriden Baptist Church. Roberta enjoyed baking and was known for her wonderful cakes.
She is survived by her children: Frank (Sabra) Shirrell of Tecumseh, Ron (Annette) Shirrell of Topeka and Jenna Shirrell of Topeka; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Foster and her sister, Geneve.
A memorial service will be held for Roberta at 10:00 a.m. on November 7, 2015 at East Side Baptist Church, 4425 SE 29th, Topeka. Inurnment will take place at Penwell Gabel Cemetery.
