Roberta Ann Vaughn Pickett, 74 of Carbondale, Kansas passed away December 16, 2015. She was born November 10, 1941 to Rolland and Orpha Jane (Cowdrey) Smith at Topeka, Kansas. She was raised in Lyndon by her mother and step-father, Lloyd Warren. She graduated from Lyndon High School in 1958.
Roberta married Lloyd Vaughn on June 5, 1960 at Vassar, Kansas. They were divorced in 1982. Roberta worked as a Corrections Specialist for the Topeka Correctional Facility retiring in 2002. She enjoyed raising her farm animals, camping, and making arts and crafts which were taken to flea markets.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela McDaniel and son-in-law, Rick; her son, George Vaughn; 4 grandchildren: Mike, Nick, Nina, Sara and Donald; 2 brothers: Lloyd Warren and his wife Pat and Jim Warren and his wife Nancy; and her sister, Glenda Alford.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Orpha Warren; father, Rolland Smith; step-father, Lloyd Warren; and her brother, George Warren.
A visitation will be held at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service at 2:00PM on December 29, 2015 followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00PM.
