Rocky Brown, 62, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He was born November 17, 1953 in Kansas City, MO, the son of George Amos and Gladys Lucille (O'Doniel) Brown.
Rocky had resided in Topeka since 1984. He was employed by Pepsi Cola for 22 years. He owned and operated Brown's Gun Repair for the past 4 years.
Rocky married Anna J. Whittington on November 7, 1985 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Phillip (Erin) Leesman of Joplin, MO, Joseph (Ashley) Leesman of Topeka, five grandchildren, Davis, Dominic, Jayden, Ayana and Jomarion, two sisters, Sally Brown of Topeka, Susan Bell of Oak Grove, Missouri, two half-sisters, Mary Elizabeth (Joe) Zvolanek of Tennessee, Lola Bell (LeRoy) Chadwick of Missouri and one half-brother, Tommy Lee (Ann) Brown of Misssouri.
Rocky was preceded in death by three siblings, Charles LeRoy Norseick, Caroline Brown and Martha Sue Vinson.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. To leave the family a special message, please select the share memories option above.
