Roland C. David

Roland C. "Corky" David, 86, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2006, leaving behind his wife, Faye, a daughter, Linda and her husband, Elden Lester and many friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Don. He was born to Earl and Ruth David in Winona, KS. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army and upon his discharge went to work for the Ford Motor Co. where he worked until his retirement. He also was a life time member of the American Legion Post No. 400. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at West Lawn Memorial Gardens where military honors will be presented by American Legion Post No. 400. Burial will follow. Corky will lie in state after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
