Roland E. "Ron" Hudson, 75, of Topeka, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at his residence. He was born on December 11, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Robert and Laura Mann Hudson. He attended Boston University and Washburn University. He served in the Air Force for 22 years, serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, in 1973, he was employed by Monarch Marking Systems of Dayton, Ohio as a field service representative before retiring in 1990. He was a member of Capital Post No. 1 of the American Legion for 27 years. He married Louise Humerickhouse on May 18, 1957 in Anderson, Indiana. She survives. Other suriviors include three sons, Scott Hudson of Wichita, Jeff L. Hudson of Carbondale, Steve Hudson of Wichita, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cremation took place. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
