Ronald R. Bryant, 69, of Topeka, Kansas, died June 6, 2017. Ron was born February 6, 1948 in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Orvel and Dorothy (Wheat) Bryant. Ron married Bonnie J. Gross on July 6, 1976 in Junction City, Kansas.
Ron served 20 years of service in the US Army. He earned multiple awards including the Purple Heart. After retirement he worked for McGrew Tire in Junction City, KS, Bud's Tire in Holton, KS and owned and operated Ron's Tire and Auto Service in Mayetta, KS.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of nearly 41 years; his children of Topeka, Eldon Bryant and Tammy Devlin (Josh); Tracy Jillard and Kim McCloskey both of Clifton Heights, PA; 7 grandchildren; his sisters, Mary Howard (Alfred), and Dorie Watson (Danny) both of Hollis, OK; and his brother-in-law John Schlafer of Palmyra, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sharon Schlafer.
There will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local no-kill animal shelter.
