Ronald A. O'Leary, 68, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
He was born August 13, 1947, in Saint Francis, Kansas, the son of Paul and Roberta (Ostdiek) O'Leary. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Ronald was the State Finance Officer for American Legion Capital Post #1 for 28 years, retiring from full-time in 2010 and continued part-time until 2013. He was a Kansas Life Member of the American Legion for 47 years. He was very involved in Boys State for 28 years where he also served as Chairman.
Ronald was married to Marsha Hallack. He is survived by his son, Travis O'Leary, sister, Janice (Ron) Krien and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim O'Leary.
Ronald was cremated. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 S.W. 6th Avenue, Topeka (6th & Gage). Private interment will be at Fort Riley Post Cemetery.
