Ronald W. Pawley, 73, of Topeka passed away Thursday October 5, 2006 at the Colmery O'Neil V.A. Hospital.
Ronald was born September 11, 1933 in Alicia, Arkansas, the son of Raymond and Bertha Pawley. His family moved to Topeka in the early 40s. He attended Highland Park High School. He retired from Goodyear after 41 years, during which he spent eight years in the Navy/Naval Reserves. Ron was a member of Local #307.
He married Anna Cruciani on September 5, 1960 in Warwick, R.I. She survives. Other survivors include their children Lori Movsesian, Nashua N.H., Brian Pawley, Las Vegas NV; Mark Pawley, Carbondale and Mike Pawley of Topeka, four grandchildren, a brother Jack Pawley, Imperial, NE; and his mother Bertha.. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert in January of 2000.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Mathews Catholic Church Tuesday, October 10th at 11:00 a.m.. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Mr. Pawley will lie in state after 1:00 p.m., Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. then a prayer service will be said at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by family visitation.
