Ronald Gene Vance

Ronald Gene Vance, 83, of Tecumseh, was united with his Lord on Monday, June 28, 2021.
He was born October 29, 1937, in Kidder, MO, the son of Perry Davis and Elsie Mae (Chadwick) Vance.
He attended Penney High School and graduated in 1955.
He served in the Army National Guard for 6 years.
Ronald was employed by the DuPont Company for 40 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene in Topeka and also a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Topeka for several years. He served on the board at both churches. He drove the church bus for many years. He was also an outstanding fast pitch softball pitcher in the First Church of the Nazarene Softball League.
Ronald married Ethel Gurley on November 8, 1958 in Hamilton, MO.
Survivors include his spouse, Ethel Vance of Tecumseh; his daughter, Rhonda (Dennis) Keegan of Overland Park; his son, Michael (JoAnna) Vance of Topeka and a daughter, Angela Vance of Tecumseh; his grandchildren, Nicole (Bill) Norwood, Michelle (Ed Serrano) Cooper, Jessica (Jordan) Patzke, Cody (Sara) Vance and Conner Vance; his great grandchildren, Madison, Allison, Maddox, Oliver and one on the way, Rowan Michael; his siblings, Bill (Irene) Vance, Susie (LeRoy) Kern and David (Linda) Vance.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ronald enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, wood working and working on cars. He was an avid sports fan and was a Cardinals Baseball fan. Most of all Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family and helping his neighbors.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene, 2835 SE Croco Rd., Topeka, KS 66605. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Berryton.
