Rosalie S. Wilson

Rosalie Wilson, 77, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at a local hospital. Rosalie was born February 28, 1933 in Topeka, the daughter of Neal and Clara (Eggleston) Hammond. She graduated from Topeka High School. Rosalie married Robert Wilson on June 17, 1951 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include daughters, MarCia (Donald) Wilson, Shelline Smoot, Deena (Daniel) Dehncke, all of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Mike" Wilson; and one sister. She operated a Day care center in her home for many years. She was active in Square Dancing and a member of Cap-Teen Squares and Family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Rosalie will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4125 SW Gage Center Drive, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
