Rose Eilene Jackson

Rose Eilene Jackson, 54, Wakarusa, left her loving family on Saturday, February 26, 2011. She died peacefully and unexpectedly on the farm she loved so much. While Maurice worked, she took care of the home place and babysat grandchildren.
Rose was born in Holton on August 10, 1956, the first daughter of Gary Rex and Doris Irene (Hayes) Baldwin.

Rose married the love of her life, Maurice Edward Jackson on June 17, 1972. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Catina Marie Jackson, Michelle Lee Jackson, Billie Jo Jackson, Megan Lynn Jackson; grandchildren, Ashley, Kristen, Brandon, Cassandra, Randy, Harley, Zackary; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Jadyn; brothers, Terry and Gary Joe Baldwin; sisters, Deborah Meggison and Rexann Myers; and many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was preceded in death by her father and daughter, Amy Jo Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow at Auburn Cemetery. Rose will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
