Rosemary (Atzenweiler) Bradbury died peacefully on April 22, 2017. She was born April 12, 1924, to Theodore and Ethel (Maxwell) Atzenweiler.

Rosemary graduated from Southwest High School in Kansas City, MO, and studied classical voice. She attended Kansas City University (UMKC) her freshman year and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Industrial Journalism. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Thereafter, Rosemary (Rosie) was employed by the American Hereford Journal in Kansas City.

Rosemary married J. Alan Bradbury in 1948, at Broadway Methodist Church in Kansas City, MO. They moved to Topeka, KS, and established the Gage Boulevard Animal Hospital in 1950. Together, they enjoyed boating, water skiing, dancing, snow skiing, horseback riding, and golf.

Rosemary was an active member of St. David's Episcopal Church, involved in altar guild, vestry, search committee and assisted in editing "The Story of St. David's." She also enjoyed dancing and was a fan of the Big Band Era. Rosie enjoyed bridge, supper and luncheon clubs. She loved playing golf and was a member of the Kansas Women's Golf Association. Rosie also enjoyed collecting antique clocks and was a member of the National Association of Clock and Watch Collectors. Likewise, she enjoyed reading the Wall Street Journal and sent relevant articles to various family members. This exercise was affectionately known as "Rosie's Clipping Service."

Rosemary is survived by her husband and their three children, Marsha, Steve (Nicki) and Dana; five grandchildren, Mitchell (Julia), Megan (Eric), Christopher, Ashley (Austin) and Madison; four great-grandchildren; two cousins; and three nieces.

Memorial services will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church in Topeka on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation with family and refreshments will be provided at the church after the service. A private interment will occur at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, Topeka & Shawnee Co. Public Library, or St. David's Episcopal Church Sunday School.
