OBITUARY: Rosemary Lorraine Heusted
Rosemary Lorraine Heusted, 89, Topeka, died Wed., July 14, 2010. She was born Jan. 24, 1921, at Langdon, the daughter of Alfred B. and Daisy A. (Wright) Horton. She attended Hutchinson Junior College where she met her future husband. Rosemary was a proofreader for Josten's, retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church, Goodyear Retirees Club, and Northeast Kansas Callers Assoc. She and her husband were avid square dancers and taught square dancing in Topeka and surrounding communities. Rosemary was married to Harry L. Heusted on May 17, 1941 at Camp Robinson, AR. He preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a son, Leland Heusted, a brother, a sister, and 2 great-grandsons. Surviving are 3 children: Harry L. Heusted II (Carol), Aletha A. Wilson (Jim), and Kevin D. Heusted (Terrie) all of Topeka; 5 grandchildren: Christine, Jennifer, Rob, Amanda, and Branden; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Mon., July 19, 2010, at Highland Park United Methodist Church. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, Sun., at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka.
