Rosie Louise Hysten

Rosie Louise Hysten, 76, of Berryton, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
She was born August 11, 1937, in Paxico, Kansas, the daughter of Edgar and Fannie Anderson Bradley.
Rosie was employed as a Nurse by Stormont-Vail Hospital for 30 years before retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Indiana Avenue Church of Christ.
Rosie married Lloyd R. Hysten on September 15, 1956 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her children, David L. Hysten, Sr., Denise L. Hysten-Scott, Daniel L. (Rachel) Hysten, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and her siblings, Edgar Bradley, James Bradley and Ernest Bradley.
Rosie was preceded in death by her son, Darvin L. Hysten on February 15, 2009 and her sister, Carrie May Bradley.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Indiana Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rosie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
