Rowland Davies

Rowland Arthur Davies, 87, Topeka, died Thurday Jan. 24, 2002. He attended school in Concordia and graduated from Concordai Hih School in 1932. He was a farmer and stockman in Cloud Co. for 45 years. On April 25, 1934 in
Marysville, KS he was married to Isabell Marie Hess. She preceded him in death in 1990. In 1960 he moved to Topeka He worked as a furniture salesman for Ed Marling Furniture for 20 years where he retired. After retirement he serviced lawn mowers and did small engine repair out of his home for a number of years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Concordia for 50 years. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Concordia and a long time member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
He was born October 24 1914, in Concordia, KS., the son of John Henry and Pachel Davies
Other survivors include three sons, John Davies of Wichita KS; Gary Davies of Fairview, TX, and Thomas Davies of Holton, KS 7 Grandchildren: Brad Davies, Angela Davies Lorie Haas, Kelly Schmitz, Courtney Hackey, Billie Davies and Rachel Davies.

Service will be Monday January 28, 2002 at Newcomer
Family Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. and vistation from 9:30 to 10:30.
Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens Topeka, KS.
