Roxanne S. Baldwin

Roxanne S. Baldwin, 64, of Topeka, formerly of Carbondale, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009. She was born on December 21, 1944 in Topeka, the daughter of Delbert C. and Betty J. Doane Tibbets. She was employed in the Department of Revenue for the State of Kansas for many years before retiring in December of 2008. She was a member of the Berryton United Methodist Church. Roxanne married Richard E. Baldwin. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one son, Errick M. Baldwin in 1998. Survivors include one son, Doane M. Baldwin, one granddaughter, Camryn, her father and step-mother, Delbert and Mary Tibbets, her siblings, Carl, Katheryn, Emmet, Daniel and her aunt, Sondra. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Lynn Creek Cemetery southeast of Topeka. Roxanne will lie in state from 5:00-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In honor of Richard, her husband who served two tours as a Corpsman during the Vietnam War, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 604, P.O. Box 750322, Topeka, KS 66675-0322.
