Roy G. St. John, 58, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021. He was born February 4, 1963 in Topeka, the son of James Leslie and Betty Jean (Fletcher) St. John.
Roy graduated from Mission Valley High School in 1981. He attended Washburn University and Gene Blake's School of Cosmetology. Roy was a cosmetologist for 37 years, most recently working at Capelli's Hair Salon. He was a member of the Dover Federated Church.
Roy married Cynthia Howbert on January 8, 1990. They later divorced but remained good friends. Survivors include two daughters, Kylie St. John of Berryton, Taylor Marlar of Wamego, one grandson, Silas, three step-children, Jodie Potter, Danielle Hunninghake, and Justin Howbert all of Berryton, and his siblings, Lyle Thorne of Whitewater, J.L. St. John of Dover, Patricia Hochstedler of Dover, many nieces, nephews, friends and his beloved dog, Nana.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Dover Federated Church. Following the service, there will be a gathering for all that will take place at the Dover Community Center. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 S.W. 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
