Royal "Jim" Guffey, of Topeka, passed away July 29, 2013. He was born July 27, 1933 to Frank and Violet Guffey at Hoyt, Kansas. He married Donna Crowell on July 25, 1952 at Topeka, Kansas. Royal retired after 36 years with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna; three children, Sheryl Weigel, Overland Park, KS, Cindy Guffey (Harold Carter), Lawrence, KS, and Jimmie Guffey (Leona), Willow Springs, MO; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service on August 1, 2013 at 11:00AM. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00-11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Health Center Foundation Rehabilitation Center, 1700 SW 7th, Topeka, KS 66606.
