Ruby "Juanita" Fusco, 94, of rural Berryton, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Brookside Retirement Community in Overbrook. She was born November 21, 1917, in Wilson County, KS, the daughter of Roy and Bessie Ramp Fail.
Juanita married Jerry Fusco on July 25, 1942. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2007. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Verna Tyburski. Survivors include one son, Robert (Sharon) Fusco, four grandchildren, John Tyburski, Anna Tyburski, Brian (Valerie) Fusco and Linnzi Fusco, one great-granddaughter, Nicola Tyburski, her brother, Marion Fail and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka. Burial will follow in Clinton Cemetery in Douglas County. Juanita will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
