Russell L. Roosevelt

Russell L. "Rusty" Roosevelt, 45, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at his home. He was born on May 6, 1960 in Topeka, the son of Jack N. and Phyllis D. Diehl Roosevelt. He attended schools in Long Beach, CA, Williamstown, NJ. and Washburn Rural High School in Topeka. He was employed by UPS for 20 years before retiring due to health reasons. He enjoyed drag racing and building race cars. He married Cheryl Welch. They were divorced. Survivors include one son: Aaron C. Roosevelt of Andover and one step-daughter, Tracy of Andover, his mother, Diane and step-father Neil Campbell of Topeka, his father, Jack N. Roosevelt of California, three sisters, Jacqueline Piper of Overbrook, Sherry Flores of Houston, TX, and Krissy off Houston,TX. He was preceded in death by one brother, Craig W. Roosevelt on February 17, 1989. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
