Ruth Ann Jewell Hittle passed away April 5, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was born October 22, 1941 at Tipton to Charles Milton and Vaughn Hazel McCormick Jewell. She married Bernard Hittle Jr. October 22, 1959 in Whiting.
Survivors include her husband, Junior; children, Ruth (Annie) Lentz (Jerry) of Valley Falls, Ellen Hittle (Kelly Wardell) of Douglass, Terry Hittle of Topeka, Leah Hittle (Ray Flick) of Iowa, Marilyn Vanderweide (Mike) of Ozawkie; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker for several years and helped with the family business, JRs Electric. She also worked as various department managers and floor help at Kmart, teacher's aide at Berryton School, and substitute kitchen help at USD 434. She enjoyed spending time with her family and helping on the family farm. She dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all. Much appreciation and love to the wonderful caregivers at Grace Hospice who assisted care and enabled her to spend her last few months at home.
