Ruth L. Fowler

Ruth L. Fowler, 90, of Topeka, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. She was born June 23, 1924, in rural Ozawkie, Kansas, the daughter of John and Lucy (Metzger) Fowler. She graduated from Ozawkie Rural High School in 1942.
Ruth was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad for 39 years.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Topeka for over 65 years.
Survivors include her sister, Shirley Norman; nieces, Shirley Faulk, Catherine Kufahl, Sharon Berner, Kathleen Cathcart; nephew, James Norman, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ruth enjoyed sewing and traveling.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 am, January 10th, at First Baptist Church, 3033 SW MacVicar Ave. in Topeka. Interment of the cremated remains will be at the Meriden Cemetery in Meriden, Kansas.
