Ruth Laverne Padgett, 78, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016.
She was born November 12, 1937, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Margaret Randall. She was a graduate of Atchison Community High School and had worked as a waitress all her life.
Ruth married Jack Lee Padgett on July 8, 1972, in Topeka, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include children, Mark Petesch, Rosemary Hobbs, Sharon Thompson, Sandra Elliott, Marsha McKinley, Kenneth Petesch, Kathy Clem, Jimmy Petesch, Cheryl Dawn Barnes, Theresa DeAnn Vyskocil, and Jackie Sue Sweet; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth was cremated and at her request, no services will be held.
