Samuel J. Rozell, 72, of Easton, Kansas, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born November 13, 1949 in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Cal Ray and Effie Irene (Johnson) Rozell.
Samuel graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo. He was an Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He had resided in Topeka since December 2018. Samuel was employed as a mechanic by the Texas and Kansas Department of Transportation for several years before retiring. He was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 56.
Samuel married Sandra Kay "Sandy" Winders. She preceded him in death on December 11, 2020.
Cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
