Sandra K. "Dusty" Herman, 65, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born November 13, 1952 in New Albany, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Hollis "Pat" and Jean (Keeney) Herman.
Dusty graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania. She was an Army Veteran. She was employed by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 25 years before retiring.
Survivors include one daughter, Jayme N. Herman-Dye of Topeka, caregiver, Chrystal A. Dye of Topeka, two brothers, Philip Herman of Towanda, Pennsylvania, Ted Herman of Leesburg, Florida, three sisters, Diane Masters of New Era, Pennsylvania, Marcea Kinney of Wyalusing, Pennsylvania and Lorraine Bovier of Towanda, Pennsylvania and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place in Pennsylvania at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
