Sandra K. Newton, 54, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Midland Hospice House, after battling cancer. Sandy was born April 7, 1959 in Topeka, and was the daughter of Willard and Marguerite Combs, who preceded her in death.
Sandy was a graduate of Topeka West High School in 1977. She married Mark A. Newton on July 28, 1977. Sandy was employed for many years as a Digital Specialist for Security Benefit Group of Companies.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Mark; son, Mark A. Newton Jr. (Holley); daughter, Amber Sue Larson (Scott); three sisters, Bonnie Billings, Carbondale, Bobbie Dennis, Topeka, Debbie Hull, Berryton; and 10 granchildren.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held from 4:00-6:00pm, Saturday, June 22nd at the Elm Community Center, 228 Main Street, Carbondale, KS for family and friends.
