Sandra Rogers, 75, Auburn, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Stormont Vail Regional Health Center.
Sandra was born November 14, 1937 in Marysville, the daughter of Rudolph F. and Mildred A. (Walker) Scheibe. She graduated from Marysville High School.
She had been employed by Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a talented artist and woodworker.
Sandra married Lyle M. Rogers on June 3, 1956 in Marysville. He died March 16, 2012.
Survivors include sons, John (Lynnora) Rogers, Ronald Rogers, all of Plymouth, IN; daughters, Connie Kaberline, Auburn, Bonnie Rogers, Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Ian Rogers, Jacob (Emily) Rogers, Audrey Davis, Emily (John) Gedig, Tiffany (Luke) Fischer, Cassandra Kaberline and fiancé, Brett Boyum; great grandchildren, Abigail, Ellie, Kayla, Daniel, Kevin, Tristen; sisters, Reita Bargmann, Marysville, Charlotte Phippin, Stephenville, TX, Dorothy Warren, Bedford, TX; and brothers, Bob Scheibe, Overland Park, and Donald Scheibe, Washington, MO. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Claude Scheibe, and infant daughter, Patricia Joann Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow at the Auburn Cemetery. Sandra will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Friday and visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Auburn Community Theatre or Auburn Volunteer Fire Department.
