Sarah Rachel Wille, 102, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka.
She was born Sarah Rachel Griffin to James B. and Sarah Ellen Anway Griffin in Mason City, Illinois on April 11, 1908.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Wille, four sons; Richard, William, Berlin, Charles A. and a nephew, Henry Griffin. Survivors include one daughter, Lois (Jay) Roberts of Tecumseh, KS, two nieces who she raised; Velma Atwood of Tecumseh, KS and Carolyn Noia of Seattle, WA, her daughter-in-law, Lois Wille of Flora, IL and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Rosa Ransom of Topeka.
She lived in Noble, IL, Ellinwood, KS, Clay City, IL and Tecumseh, KS. She was a member of the Amaranth Lodge in Ellinwood, KS. She enjoyed gardening, music, sewing, Bible studies and her family.
Services and burial will take place in Noble, IL. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family in Topeka.
