Sharif Munn, Sr.

Sharif M. Munn, Sr., 25, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at a Topeka hospital emergency room. He was born on April 6, 1980 in Topeka, the son of Lorenzo and Valandia L. Munn Latimore. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1998 and was attending Washburn University. Survivors include his father, Lorenzo Latimore of Columbia, SC, his mother, Valandia Haggerty of Topeka, one son, Sharif M. Munn, Jr. of Topeka, two sisters, Tiana Sanders of Topeka, LaToya Latimore of Topeka and three nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Sharif will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
