Sharon J. Cobuluis, 76, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born April 21, 1938 in Cleburne, KS, the daughter of Marion and Ruth Holt Southerland.
Sharon graduated from Westmoreland High School and graduated from Clarks Business College. She was a homemaker and owned and operated Creative Cabinetry. She loved animals.
Sharon married John P. Cobuluis, Jr. on November 1, 1958 in Westmoreland, KS. He survives. Other survivors include their children, John Paul Cobuluis, III (Barb) of Topeka, Joanne R. Ortiz (Santos) of Topeka, Jim A. Cobuluis of Topeka, Danny Slusser (Dori) of Topeka, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her siblings, Stanley Arnold (Marla) of Reston, VA, Lois Hatfield (Bob) of Wichita, and Jane O'Brien of Colorado Springs, CO.
Sharon helped others during her life and after her death. She bequeathed her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
