Sharon Ann Smith-Urban, 70, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Stormont Vail Health Center.
She was born August 1, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Donald & Ruth (Billing) Stewart. She graduated from Kenwood High School in Baltimore.
Sharon married Bruce L. Smith, Jr. in Baltimore. He preceded her in death. She then married George Dale Urban, Sr. in Baltimore. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading in her spare time. Sharon moved to Topeka, Kansas in 2014 to be closer to her son and granddaughter.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Smith, of Topeka and Brian Smith, in Missouri; grandchildren, Ariel Smith, of Topeka, Dustin Smith, Tyler Smith and Grayson Smith, all living in Missouri.
Her brothers, Donald Stewart, Jr. and Mark Stewart, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, Maryland, 21122. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville, Maryland at 2:30 p.m. The family will greet friends and family two hours prior to the service, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Stallings Funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to any local library in honor of Sharon.
