Sharon A. Walker, 79, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was born April 5, 1945 in Topeka, the daughter of Donald E. and Helen E. (Moran) Brown.
Sharon graduated from Highland Park High School. She was employed by the State of Kansas and was a Sales Associate for J.C. Penney's for several years. She was a member of Light of the World Christian Center.
Sharon enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and karaoke. She also enjoyed quilting and made her children and grandchildren their own quilts. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Sharon also enjoyed her part time job at J.C. Penny’s which was very important to her as well as the relationships she had with co-workers and clientele she served.
Sharon married Robert James Walker. They later divorced. Survivors include children, Paul Walker of Topeka, three grandchildren, Tara Walker of Topeka, Justin Walker of Topeka, and Holden Walker of Topeka, two great-granddaughters, Alaiyah, Amariana and a soon to come great-granddaughter, Jordynn.
Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Robert J. Walker, Jr. and her brother, Donald E. "Don" Brown, Jr.
A Celebration of Sharon's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Inurnment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
