Sharron Nannette (Wahl) Fieger, 74, of Garland, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, May 19, 2008. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sharron was born in Junction City, Kansas on August 10, 1933 to Otto and Alice (Gleason) Wahl and graduated from Alta Vista High School in Alta Vista, Kansas. She married Keith Fieger in September, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas. She later returned to work where she retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1992. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Keith, and brother, Winton Wahl.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are daughters, Kristi Morrow, and husband, Kyle, of Garland, Texas, Sheri Strong, and husband, Mike, of Lewisville, Texas, and sons, Mitchell and Brett Fieger, both of Garland, Texas, sister, Barbara Richards, of Pomona, Kansas, brother-in-law, Frank Fieger, of Topeka, Kansas, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Laura Fieger, of Topeka, Kansas, and sister-in-law, Suzanne Wahl, of Spring, Texas.
Six grandchildren, Laura McBride and husband, Tony, of Waco, Texas, Joshua Gunter and wife, Jennifer, and Stacey Pierce and husband, Jon, of Garland, Texas, Lisa Bryant and fianc'ee, Thomas Fry, of Royce City, Texas, and Christopher and Kelley Strong of Lewisville, Texas.
Five great-grandchildren, Megan Gunter, René Gunter, Abigail Bryant, Jacob Gunter and Hayden Gunter.
Sharron was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Garland for over 34 years and was active on numerous committees. She was loved and respected by many friends, and will be dearly missed by them. Her family and friends look forward to the day they will be reunited with her in paradise.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka. A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Garland, Texas at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
