Shaye Christine Shelby, 17, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014. She was born March 19, 1997 to Scott and Marcy Shelby. Shaye was a senior and soccer player at Shawnee Heights High School and had just graduated from Washburn Tech.
She is survived by her parents, and two brothers and a sister, Max (Lainey) Shelby, Koty (Shayna) Meens, and Corinne (Tyler) Tregellas and three beloved nephews. Grandparents, Jerry Dean and Jane Meens, Burle Shelby and Great Grandmother, Beulah Meens.
Shaye was a bubbly and loving young woman and will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at the Berryton United Methodist Church. Cremation will follow services and private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
