Sheldon Lee Teske

Sheldon Lee Teske, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Midland Hospice in Topeka. He was born May 9, 1930 in Wheaton, Kansas, the son of Arthur and Dora (Brunkow) Teske.
Sheldon was a Navy Veteran during the Korean War. He was employed by Vic Yarrington Oldsmobile for 35 years before retiring. Sheldon was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and later joined Christ Lutheran Church. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
Sheldon married Norma E. Teske on August 5, 1951. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2017. He was also preceded in death by one son, Marcus in 2011.
Survivors include children, Jeff (Kim), Brian (Melanie) and Jay; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joany Teske and his sister, Verla Allen.
Sheldon will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2020 at the funeral home and burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Masks and social distancing must be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
