Shelia Renee Walker, 41, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 due to Sickle Cell Anemia.
She was born November 24, 1976, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Bobby Joe and Lois Lee (Dennis) Walker, Sr. She attended Highland Park High School.
Shelia was a member of the Jerusalem / St. Rest Baptist Church, Gibsland, LA and attended Potwin Presbyterian Church, Topeka.
Survivors include her father, Bobby "B.J." Walker, Sr. and step-mother, Christina, Wakarusa, KS; her mother, Lois Walker and her step-father, Charlie Kemp, Topeka; her brother, Bobby Walker, Jr., Topeka; her sister, Kalika (Aaron) Neal, Topeka; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wess and Lucille Walker; maternal grandparents, C.D. and Ruth Dennis; paternal step-grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Graf; her uncle, Timothy Graf; and a cousin, Michael Bowlds.
Shelia loved her family, friends, and possessed a marvelous sense of humor.
Shelia's family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka.
A celebration of Shelia's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the funeral home. Honoring her request, cremation will follow the service.
Shelia requested all attending to wear yellow or bright colors.
