Sherman Hartzler
Sherman J. Hartzler, 85, passed away June 18, 2010. He had been a resident of the Topeka area since 1945. He was born May 14, 1925 to Sherman A. and Maggie D. (Fruede) Hartzler at Harrisonville, Missouri.
He is survived by his companion, Geraldine Hadjukovich, 4 step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and was a member of the United Rubber Workers for 33 years. He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post 400. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma in 1987. There will be no services. Burial will be at Topeka Cemetery.
