Shirley Darlene Bloomquist, Burlingame, Kansas, passed away at the age of 84, on June 11th, 2020, Topeka, Kansas.
Darlene was born August 5, 1935, in Williamsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Sherman A. Fisher and Frances E. (Sloan) Fisher.
She married Norman Bloomquist and to this union 3 children were born, Rick Bloomquist, Robert (Betty) Bloomquist, and Mary "Missy" Brauner, all of Topeka, KS.
She spent most of her life in Burlingame, Kansas, where she was director of Bible School and the church secretary, and later on became a Licenced Practical Nurse for several years. She was also a beloved mother and grandmother, and her spirit will live on with her family. In addition to her children, she is survived by 3 siblings, Ed (Sherry) Fisher, Lebo, KS, Ace (Donna) Fisher, Topeka, KS, and Mary Gore, Cambridge, MD. She also dearly loved her grandchildren, Jeremy and Derik Brauner, Jessica (James) Buchanan, and William, Nicole, Daxton, Caydrick, Cohen, and Kaelon Bloomquist. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patty Fisher.
A graveside service will be held at Auburn Cemetery, SW 89th & Hodges Road, Auburn, Tuesday, June 16, at 10am. Friends are welcome.
