Shirley Robbins Buchheim

Shirley Robbins Buchheim, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka with her husband by her side on their 69th wedding anniversary. She was born December 20, 1928 in Topeka, the daughter of Charlie Frank and Mary Louise (O'Connell) Robbins.
Shirley graduated from Topeka High School. She was employed by Santa Fe Railway for several years where she met her future husband, Orville. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church and a quilting club.
Shirley married Orville L. Buchheim on April 14, 1951 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Gary (Dee) Buchheim of Meriden, Dave Buchheim of Leavenworth, Jan Buchheim of Topeka, Linda Buchheim Wurth of Overland Park, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by one brother, Roland Robbins and one sister, Phyliss Jean Robbins.
Private graveside services will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
