Shirley Ann (Simmons) Fuller, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. She was born October 16, 1926 in Parsons, Kansas, the daughter of J. Ralph and Edna K. (Davis) Simmons.
Shirley graduated from Parsons High School and earned a Bachelor's of Science from Pittsburgh State University in 1948. She taught elementary school in Emporia and Dodge City, Kansas before they moved to Topeka in 1952. She later did interviews for a Kansas University research project, and worked in the office of the family business, Motor Parts, Inc. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church where she was active with the United Methodist Women and the Auxiliary of Gideons International.
Shirley married Richard Fuller on July 4, 1948 in Parsons. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Connie (Danny) Turner of Thailand, Gayle Ann Wadsworth of Topeka, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her brother, Joseph R. Simmons of Tullahoma, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kent Wadsworth in 2008.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Highland Park United Methodist Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
