Shirley M. Lafferty, 87, of Burlingame, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Brookside Manor in Overbrook. She was born November 18, 1934 in Scranton, the daughter of Robert Eugene "Gene" and Marie "Mary" (Kivitter) Hall.
Shirley graduated from Burlingame High School in 1952. She was a member of the Federated Church of Burlingame. She was primarily a homemaker and worked various retail position throughout her life.
Shirley married Ben Stout in 1952. They were divorced. She was married to Elbert Eugene "Gene" Lafferty, on March 29, 1974. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her only sister, Vivian Sneary.
Survivors include her sons, Mike (Terri) Stout of Scranton and Greg (Anne) Stout of Burlingame and step-son Steven (Margie) Lafferty of Grandview, Missouri along with four grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
A private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Brookside Manor, 700 W. 7th, Overbrook, Kansas 66524.
