Shirley Louise (Toy) Miller, 74, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021.
She was born October 15, 1946, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Vernon C. and Iona M. (Streit) Toy.
Shirley attended Highland Park High School. She worked as a Press Operator for Josten's prior to retiring.
Shirley married Richard Arthur Miller in Alma, Kansas. He survives her.
Survivors include her children, Brenda (Earl) Johnson, Robert "Bob" (Linda) Miller, and Jennifer Hottman; her two brothers, Jim and Vernon C. Toy, Jr.; her grandchildren, Lee Atkins, Samantha Wickman and Charli Funk; her great grandchildren, Lilly Wickman, Maggie Wickman and Jacob Funk.
She was preceded in death by her parent; her brother, Charles Toy; sister, Karen Toy; mother-in-law, Gennieve Miller; brother-in-law, Steve Miller and sister-in-law, Vivian Kampschroeder.
Shirley enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling, hiking, sightseeing, mountains and wildlife. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and she always put others first.
Honoring Shirley's request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date. Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610 is assisting the family.
