Spencer Eugene Larson, 63, of Alma, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018. He was born August 27, 1954 in Junction City, Kansas, the son of John and Corinne (Evans) Larson.
Spencer graduated from Rossville High School in 1972. During his life, he held multiple jobs but his passion was driving across the United States as an over the road semi-truck driver. He had a love for dogs, especially his two rat terriers, Earle and Chewy.
Spencer married Teresa Diepenbrock in November, 1985. They later divorced.
Survivors include one daughter, Ashley (Brian) Michaelis of Alma, Kansas, two grandchildren, Peyton Marie and Avery Mae, three step-grandchildren, Madelyn, Emma and Conner, his mother, Corinne Larson, and his siblings, Jeffery (Richelle) Larson, Krystal Larson, Steven (Renee) Larson, David Larson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Larson.
As per Spencer's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Spencer Larson Memorial Fund (to be used for Peyton Wegele and Avery Michaelis Educational Fund), sent in care of Stockgrowers State Bank, 304 Missouri Ave., Alma, Kansas 66401.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Campanella Funeral Home, Alma, Kansas where a celebration of life service will be at 7:00 p.m.
Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd. is assisting the family.
