Stanley Glenn Fishback, Sr.
Stanley Glenn Fishback, Sr., 88, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the V. A. Medical Center.
Stan was born March 8, 1920 in Coronado, CA, the son of Everett and Mattie (Murdock) Fishback. He grew up in Nevada and graduated from Pershing County High School in Lovelock, NV.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1941 to 1965, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
He later worked for the State of Kansas, Civil Defense Department.
Stan married Chizuko Senmyo on January 21, 1958 in Japan. She survives. Other survivors include daughters, Delpha Packer, Topeka, Kristina Blaske, Dayton, NV; son, Stanley Glenn Fishback, Jr., Topeka; grandchildren, Paul and Emily Packer, Topeka.
Cremation has taken place and private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
