Stephen Bugg

Stephen Bugg, 54, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010 at Midland Hospice. He was born on Jul 14, 1955 in Topeka, KS to Thomas Lee Bugg and Frances Chavez Monreal.

Stephen attended Topeka public schools and graduated from Topeka High School in 1973. He received his electrician certificate from KAW Valley Technical College. He was very proud of his chili recipe and loved to help his mother cook Mexican food. Later in life he had questions about faith and from there developed a relationship with God. He attended El Shaddai Ministries Church. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment with family and friends.

Mr. Bugg is survived by his daughter, Sharron Bugg of Dallas, TX; his mother Juanita Bugg of Topeka; his siblings; Maria D. Spears of Bolingbrook, IL; Teresa A. (Lavon) Smith of Memphis, TN; Thomas D. (Patricia) Bugg and Charles D. (Carolyn) Martin both of Kansas City, MO; and honorary brother Michael Porter, Sr. of Topeka; and one granddaughter, CyNiya Whayne of Dallas, TX; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and three grandchildren, CyAsia, Christasia and SaKaveair Whayne.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20 at Penwell-Gabel - Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in the Topeka Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19 at the funeral home.
