Steve "Wolfie" D. McKeever, 52, of Topeka, passed away, Monday, December 4, 2006 at a Topeka hospital.
He was born June 17, 1954 in Topeka the son of Dean and Dee McKeever. He was a 1972 graduate of Marysville High School.
Steve was a painter currently employed at McCrite Plaza Nursing Home.
He loved hunting and fishing.
Steve was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.
He was married to Delores Pitsch. They had a son John Robert McKeever who survives. They later divorced. He married Debbie Bayless in 1980. She survives. Other survivors include his daughters Stephanie McKeever and Dusty Kuhn, a grandson Xavier. He is also survived by his father Dean McKeever and his wife Georgia, Hamilton, MT; his mother, Dee McKeever, Lyons, KS; one brother, Brad McKeever and wife Mary, Marysville, KS; one sister, Vickie Studer and her husband Mike, Beattie, KS; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends .
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mr. McKeever will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
