Steven Lamb Cooper

Steven Lamb Cooper, 80, of Tecumseh, passed away June 20, 2024, in his home.
He was born October 26, 1943, in Denver, Colorado, the son of Bud and Marjorie (Zener) Cooper. He received his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Iowa.
Steve married Karen Leinert and from this union they had two boys, Eric and Hugh Cooper. They would later divorce. Steve married Gail Gunther and gained three step children, Jason, Jeff and Stephanie.
Survivors include sons, Eric Cooper and Hugh (Eileen) Cooper; sister, Gayle (Alan) Spears; brother, Merrell (Margo) Cooper, and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gail, sister, Nancy Gates, and niece, Polly.
Steve enjoyed reading, traveling, and visiting with family.
Steve’s wishes were for cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Dove Cremations & Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS. Steve's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time. Click here to view the service.
