Steven DeWayne Crain, 53, of Topeka, passed away March 23, 2016. He was born October 8, 1962 at Topeka, the son of David B. and Janice (Schneider) Crain.
He graduated from Perry/Lecompton High School in 1981 and served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS L. Y. Spear. He was employed at Goodyear building earth mover tires. Steven married Terry Sue Clark on May 1, 1998 at Topeka. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Terry; his children: Torey Lynn Rose, Loretta Lynn Stierwalt, Elizabeth Ann Thompson and Dakota Marie Haid Griffith; his "fur babies" Stumpy and Becky; grandchildren: Trey Griffith, TayLynn Griffith and Cooper Griffith; and siblings: David Alan Crain (Leona), Ralph William Crain and Tammy Kay McGhee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Grace United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the service.
